OWTO - Made by Filipino for Filipinos

I don't commute or travel every day but I can definitely feel how my Mom and Dad struggle to commute.

We live in the far end of Quezon City that everyone called it as "Farview" instead of Fairview. My Dad would wake up early morning just to be on time for his office that is located in Quezon Avenue, Quezon City. While my Mom who usually work at home but need to report to her office twice a week in Katipunan Avenue still in Quezon City, always complain the heavy traffic.

But when Transport Network Company (TNC) came like GRAB and UBER my parents are quite thankful. My Dad could go to his office for almost 45 minutes to an hour unlike when he rides PUJ's that it will take him 2 hours to 3 hours. My mother feels relax and she can still write comfortably while in the middle of traffic.

But issues comes when it's peak hours. These two TNC are super expensive that sometimes my Mom will lash out at her social media accounts of the unreasonable cost and charging. Other issues also are the difficulty of booking a car and sometimes they waited for almost an hour then the driver will just cancel the trip.

I've been using this transport app too for quite some time. I have been assisting and accompanied my Mom when we attend events, launching and her interview assignments since I'm homeschooled and I can study anywhere as long as I have my laptop and smartphone. Sometimes due to terrible traffic, I'm answering my tests while traveling. So these TNC's is needed for our family.

When my Mom told me that we are going to attend a launching another ride-hailing app that is called OWTO, I was so excited!

My excitement really paid off. I've learned that this app is made by Filipinos for Filipinos. So, it means all the features will be beneficial to Filipino commuters, partners, and drivers.

"We have the fairest fare for Filipino commuters. As for the driver's reasonable assignment of trips and simpler TNVS system awaits them. Everything curated on this app is fully design for us Filipinos." said Paolo Libertad, vice president and chief operating officer of OWTO.

OWTO also offer a discount for senior citizens, students, and the person with the disability (PWD).

Although this App is still waiting for accreditation from LTFRB, I do believe that our government is really working fairly and give OWTO a fair chance to compete with the two existing TNC's. This teen-ager kid is really optimistic that this app will help the transport industry for a safer rider and drivers.
